Came back here after many years and it still holds up. They have a huge menu, although I've largely eaten their soups. I got 설렁탕 and while I've had better elsewhere, it still holds up with its milkiness and fairly tender brisket. I got mixed rice with it which they didn't charge me extra for. I also tried bbq for the first time, pork belly and la galbi. Both were good and they use charcoal for the galbi. The galbi was excellent but it was pricey at $50. Banchan is extensive and they give you a steamed egg dish and then something light and sweet to end the meal.

Delicious homey meals, ranging from rice stone pot dishes to soups, and even BBQ! I really enjoyed my Jaeyook Gopdol - thinly sliced pork that's spicy and sweet and I loved the corn that was added as well. Each dish was served with a side of soup, but while most Korean restaurants do a simple miso soup, Hahm Ji Bach gave 우거지 갈비탕 aka soybean based cabbage beef stew! Was such a great hearty meal after a long day out.

Open 24 hours. They have lunch specials. Great bon chons. Kalbi soup was very tender and delicious. The pork bone potato soup was not too spicy and just right.

Service: 4.5/5 Food: 3.75/5 Ambiance: casual, family-friendly, loud Came here with a large group (20+) to celebrate a birthday. Majority of the menu is for dine-in. BBQ options only took up 1 spread with most being beef. Decent amount of pork options + the only chicken option I remember was spicy. Is it typical for an order to feed 1-2 people + be $30? I applaud the servers for their hard work- delivering our chaotically ordered food/drinks, cooking our meats, refilling our complimentary dishes/waters + getting us extra supplies. They were accommodating- helping to set up the cakes I brought + delivering it to our table via robot. They also turn out the lights + have the birthday person adorn a special hat. Maybe they sing? I was overstimulated, so everything else is kind of a blur for me. What I Ordered: - Soy Raw Marinated Crab: first time trying. good flavor, hard to eat, not much meat - Kimchi Jeon: a little spicy, crispy, crowd pleaser - Pork Combo: belly is a classic, spicy was tender (duh), spare ribs were tender + the fan favorite - an overwhelming amount of banchan- at least 10 varieties - bbq also comes with lettuce, sauces + seasonings

This restaurant has a big open space with most tables, if not all, with a Korean bbq set up. I heard that it used to always be bustling with customers all day and all night. Server was incredibly quick and refilled side dishes once for me without asking so that was nice - I guess she could tell that I was hungry as I waited for my food. Got 2 main entree soup dishes and total was about $47 before tip. The yukgaejang was pretty good although it had a lot of green onions and not as much meat. But overall decent price and good quality.

Hahm Ji Bach is a well-known Korean bbq restaurant in Flushing and I do agree that it's one of the better ones. It's usually packed every time I go but the wait times aren't terrible. They are also fully Korean run but understand enough English to order. The service is alright - food comes out at a decent rate, banchan can be refilled if you ask, but since they're usually busy, they don't pay too much attention to your table. The staff also comes to cook your meat for you. We ordered the three beef combo with came with beef brisket, beef tongue, and marinated beef ribs. All of these different cuts were delicious. They also give lettuce and sauces for lettuce wraps, which is the best way to eat Korean bbq meats. We also ordered the black pork belly which was also tasty. It had a good balance of fat to meat and the staff really cooked it to the right level of doneness so there was some crisp around it. All of the meats were such great quality. Definitely a top Korean bbq spot. Menu has a good variety of appetizers, entrees, and different bbq meats to choose from. I'd skip their pancakes. I've tried both the seafood pancake and the chive pancake and their version tends to be on the chewy side. It's also fairly thin and not very filled with toppings so it's not my preference. Although I usually come for their bbq meats, many people come just for their entrees too.

Great place to eat with friends on Friday night / weekend. They have flavorful meats that you can cook on the bbq grill. They offer many small dishes. It makes feel like you don't know where to start. The service was decent. It was a busy during the time I went. There were a few time they took awhile to bring some items out. But overall quality and service were good. We don't have anything to complaint about. The atmosphere was good pace. They didn't rush us. They even let my bf's friends sit down first while they waited for me to come. That was sweet of them. I would definitely come back. It is a bit of a walk from Main Street flushing. But you can take the bus or take cab if you don't want to walk.
